Finding a Balance

Balance in our world seems next to impossible. It is as if when everything is just the way we want it then something comes along and throws everything off course.

When we have situations that rise up, we plan, mitigate the risks and move on. In project management we call this risk mitigation. We plan for what lies ahead and mitigate those risks upfront. Additionally, we utilize our playbook of lessons learned to learn from our mistakes and good decisions as well so that we can prevent the downfall and recreate the good outcomes.

This process is applied to project management with ease, but often with personal relationships and life situations we have difficulty reminding ourselves of the process. Find time to reflect, clear your mind and think about the situations that are pressing heavy on you. You may already have the solution in your playbook of life and lessons learned.
